On the 16th-18th of September, under the theme of ‘His Kingdom Come’, worship teams from 5 countries; Korea, Mongolia, Japan, Russia, and China, gathered at the prayer room in UofN Jeju for 48 hours of consecutive worship. They were not only from YWAM but also from different churches in various countries. They united to worship seeking God’s face and asking for His Presence.
The beginning and the end of the worship was held in Momstald Hall (Auditorium). People were able to experience unity being one in worship despite all different backgrounds, cultures, nationalities, and languages. Moreover, it gave an opportunity to all different ministries and schools on the campus to become one as well.
Through the time of prayers, participants were able to experience the wave of the revival. A participant expressed his feelings, “Specifically, the wave is waking up for East Asia. It was blessing and priceless opportunity for me to experience this gracious time right here. I could see which direction we should go forward in the future. UofN Jeju keeps pursuing globalization. I could feel God is working so faithfully for the purpose when I saw people were worshiping and praising in their own languages at this gathering.”
During the celebration on the last night, a worship leader from Japan, brother ‘shuze’, asked for forgiveness for his own country for her wrongdoings in the past. Participants had time to forgive Japan through Him. A participant recalled his feelings about the incident saying, “Even though he and I did not live in the time of the war, I could feel that both of us have the same wounds in our hearts. At the same time, when he asked for forgiveness and when we forgave each other, I felt the bitter roots in our hearts were eradicated. For unity, forgiveness should come first. I think what God wants from East Asian countries now is to reconcile each other before we do anything else.”
When the 48 hours of worship were heading towards the end, one participant declared, “Building A (Where the prayer room of UofN Jeju is) is not just a prayer room anymore, but it is rather a prayer house from now on.” When the word was proclaimed, the participants hoped that more people including the UofN would experience the presence of God there and look into the works that God will accomplish.
At the end of the event, Russians, Chinese, Mongolians, Japanese, and Koreans gathered in the auditorium and blessed each other through prayers. At that moment, peeple sensed that God was present in the room anointing over every one.
Next year, five Northeast Asian countries are planing to have another united worship event in D city in Mongolia. And YWAM Mongolia will be hosting the meeting. God will build up His Kingdom through the reconciliation and unification among Northeast Asia. The big wave of the revival from Northeast Asia will cover entire Asia and reach out to all nations. We pray that more worships and prayers to be lifted from UofN Jeju where now is proclaimed as a house of prayers, not just a prayer room.
